Plato training video: Creating Learning Paths and Assignments

A how-to on Plato learning web creating learning paths and assignments, and then adding them to your classes.

I recommend: headphones, open Plato in another window, then resize the video window and put it in the corner so you can pause it and work with the Plato window as you go.

Desire2Learn… wow!

I recently had the opportunity to demo and review Desire2Learn‘s online course software, and I was SUPER impressed. Don’t get me wrong, eCollege, there is some simplicity in the way your platform works, but Desire2Learn blew me away with user functionality, customization on almost everything, built in email and instant messaging, widgets, RSS, blogs, release criteria for self-paced courses that will only allow students to proceed when they’ve completed x, y, and z to a certain percent, etc etc… And Blackboard, you’ve done very well for yourself at the top! Now take some cues from Desire2Learn, because they have made far strides in the advancement of what an online platform can (and should) do.
